Pictures of the Jefferson memorial in Washington DC.
The first shot is of the ceiling, and a little bit of Jefferson’s head. I tried to get one of the entire statue, but it always came out blurry. D:
The second one is walking up to the building from around the tidewater basin, coming from the FDR memorial. It was around sunset, so everything looked really pretty.

Thomas Jefferson’s library. Library of Congress, Washington D.C.
There was a great documentary about LoC-Jefferson building where some woman came requesting a rare book. When the man brought it to her she asked what the ribbons in this room meant, since she’d have to handle the book here. He told her that particular ribbon meant it had been a copy owned personally by Jefferson.
The woman then freaked out and announced she wasn’t worthy of the book, so the guy working there had to calm her down that it was ok, really. Jefferson would have wanted her to touch the books.
